Turning is an electro-acoustic work built around melodic movement, harmonic tension and gradual shifts in texture. Piano remains the structural centre of the piece, while drone, noise, glitch and hardware synthesis extend its harmonic and spatial field.

Acoustic and electronic materials are treated as parts of the same compositional space rather than as opposing elements. The work also draws on an aesthetic of restraint and negative space, allowing silence, resonance and absence to carry structural weight alongside melody.

Rather than separating composition from sound design, Turning approaches melody, timbre and space as interdependent materials, allowing the piece to move between clarity, instability and suspension.
