Ephemeral Gravity explores how sound can produce force-like perceptual relations through psychoacoustic weight and spatial organization. Using multichannel spatial sound, the work investigates how gravity, magnetism, and pressure may be experienced as embodied conditions rather than physical forces. Through shifts in spectral balance, density, and spatial movement, sonic materials generate sensations of attraction, compression, suspension, and descent. These perceptual forces emerge temporarily within the listening space, forming unstable spatial fields that reorganise how listeners experience orientation and bodily presence. Rather than narrating falling or heaviness, the work treats gravity as a perceptual structure: a dynamic condition that can be activated, intensified, and released within space and time.
